PEARL OF ALSACE

One of the most valuable grape varieties, traminer, appeared in the 15th century in southwestern Germany. The pink color of the berries relates it to Italian pinot grigio and Japanese koshu, but pinot noir is the closest to it. Among the descendants of the Traminer, the Gewürztraminers from Alsace occupy a special place. In this very “non-French” wine-growing region of France, full-bodied and buttery wines with a rich aroma are born, the perfect representatives of the variety.

At MAREA you will try Gewürztraminer, that is perfect in every aspect. Expressive aroma with tones of exotic fruits, tea rose and honey will remind you of a bright summer. And the sweet-and-spicy taste hints at a gentle autumn.

GEWÜRZTRAMINER «VENDANGES MANUELLES» / CAVE DE RIBEAUVILLE – this wine has a balanced aroma with tones of lychee and ripe pineapple. The after taste reveals notes of tropical fruits and sweet spices.
